Who: This workshop is for municipal employees, local official, developers, contractors, and others interested that perform construction activities in and around waterways.
How: Working in and around waterways requires careful planning measures to minimize adverse impact on the environment and to avoid violating state and federal requirements. This workshop will help attendees in understanding why type of activities are and are not permissible, when a permit is needed, and why permits are important. Greg McKay of the US Army Corps of Engineers and Aaron McMahan of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management will give presentations, which will be followed by a Q&A session. The event is free, and all interested are encourage to attend.
