During 2009, the SWAC communities pooled their resources for a stormwater public awareness survey. The goal of the survey was to understand how familiar citizens are with stormwater pollution. The results of this survey will be used to improve local stormwater programs and to help educate residents about stormwater pollution prevention. A professional survey company was hired to conduct over 400 phone interviews with constituents throughout the SWAC area. The survey was completed in August 2010 and the results will be used to tailor education and outreach efforts during Permit Term 2.
